ZeniMax Media is not able to use the Redfall name because the title is owned by Jay Falconer who wrote a book series called Redfall. This is why so many fans of the franchise believe that the new The Elder Scrolls installment is going to take place in Redfall, but this is not going to happen.
The reason why people are talking so much about Redfall nowadays is because ZeniMax Media who is owned by Bethesda is now in a legal dispute with the company known as BookBreeze because it wants to use the Redfall name. For those who aren’t familiar with the lore of the game, Redfall is a location from Tamriel and it’s the place where the Redguard race comes from. The name that keeps coming up is “Redfall”. As fans of The Elder Scrolls franchise are waiting for Bethesda to release news about the highly anticipated game, gaming forums keep coming up with new theories about the new installment in the franchise is going to be named.
